Terms of Service

Effective July 19, 2026

KindlyPrompt is a browser-based teleprompter made by Lightover, Inc. ("we," "us"). These terms are meant to be read, not skimmed — they're short on purpose.

The service

KindlyPrompt lets you write scripts and read them from a scrolling prompter, with optional voice-following, a phone remote, and live sync between your devices. You can use it without an account; an account adds a saved script library, the phone remote, and a 30-day free trial of everything.

Your scripts are yours

You own everything you write. We claim no rights to your scripts beyond what's needed to store them and show them back to you. You can download all of your scripts at any time from your account page, and deleting your account deletes them.

Scripts without an account

An anonymous script lives at its private link — anyone with the link can view and edit it. Anonymous scripts that haven't been opened for 90 days are deleted. Saving a script to an account keeps it indefinitely.

Free and Pro

Without an account, scripts are limited in length. A free account unlocks everything for 30 days, no card required. Pro ($2.99/month or $19.99/year, processed by Stripe) removes the script-length limit. When a trial or subscription ends, nothing is deleted and every script keeps working — only growing a script past the free length requires Pro. You can cancel any time from your account page; cancellation stops future charges and Pro continues until the end of the period you paid for. If something went wrong with a charge, email us — we're humans and we'll sort it out.

Charges on your statement

KindlyPrompt is a product of Lightover, Inc. Charges appear as KINDLYPROMPT on your card statement.

Acceptable use

Don't use KindlyPrompt to store or distribute unlawful content, don't attempt to break or overload the service, and don't abuse the anonymous script system. We may remove content or close accounts that do.

The honest disclaimers

KindlyPrompt is provided as-is, without warranties. We work hard to keep it fast and available, but we can't promise it will never go down — don't make it the single point of failure for a live broadcast without a fallback. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page and, for material changes affecting paid plans, by email. These terms are governed by the laws of the state where Lightover, Inc. is incorporated.
